The calcination temperature has a great influence on the adsorption performance, but there are few studies on the calcination temperature. In this research, the effects on clinoptilolite (cas 12173-10-3) calcined at different temperatures under vacuum conditions are studied and the raw material of clinoptilolite comes from China's Liaoning Province. Clinoptilolite treated at 100 °C is methane selectivity and the equilibrium adsorption capacity between methane and nitrogen at 1 atm (atmosphere) pressure reaches 5.73. With the increase of treatment temperature, the adsorption capacities of methane and nitrogen on clinoptilolite increase, but the influence of changing calcination temperature on nitrogen adsorption is more significant. After calcination at 150 °C, clinoptilolite gradually changes to nitrogen selectivity, and the nitrogen selectivity reaches the maximum at 190 °C. The ratio of equilibrium adsorption capacity between nitrogen and methane at 1 atm (atmosphere) pressure is 1.52. When the calcination temperature reaches 350 °C, clinoptilolite can’t be regenerated after adsorption performance. The adsorption capacity of nitrogen on clinoptilolite calcined at 190 °C at 100 s (second) reaches 0.32 mmol/g, while the adsorption of methane at this time is only 0.032 mmol/g, so the nitrogen kinetic selectivity of clinoptilolite calcined at 190 °C is much greater than that of methane.
