The major radioactive component (84%) of a commercial sample of [G-3H]dibenz[a, h]anthracene was not this compound but was identified as [G-3H]-5,6-dihydrodibenz[a, h]anthracene and could be efficiently transformed by dehydrogenation into the tritiated parent hydrocarbon.
