The hydrogen sorption properties of TiCl3-catalyzed Ca(BH4)2 prepared by high energy ball milling have been investigated. It is demonstrated that Ca(BH4)2 can be rehydrogenated under 90 bar of hydrogen at 623 K after undergoing a dehydrogenation reaction. The hydrogen content of the rehydrogenated sample is about 3.8%, which is more than half of that in the as-milled sample. This result indicates that Ca(BH4)2 has a considerable potential for reversible hydrogen storage materials.
