Crystals of KBiO3 have been grown for the first time. The crystals were obtained by the electrolysis of molten KOH to which Bi2O3 had been added. Single crystal X-ray diffraction data were collected on a transparent red crystal. Analysis of this data confirms that KBiO3 has essentially the same structure as KSbO3.
