  • Thermodynamic properties of cumene, tert-Butylbenzene (cas 104-51-8), and n-hexadecane under elevated pressures
  • Add time:08/11/2019         Source:sciencedirect.com

The speeds of sound in liquid cumene and tert-butylbenzene were measured over the temperature range from 293.15 K to 433.15 K under pressures up to 100.1 MPa, relative combined expanded uncertainty in the measurement of the speed of sound is 0.001 for 0.99 level of confidence. A method for the calculation of the thermodynamic properties of liquids is described. The values of the isobaric heat capacity, isochoric heat capacity, isobaric expansion coefficient, isothermal and isentropic compressibilities have been calculated for n-hexadecane at temperatures between 298.15 K and 473.15 K at pressures up to 140 MPa, and for cumene and tert-butylbenzene over the temperature range from 298.15 K to 433.15 K and pressures up to 100 MPa.
