  • The equilibrium penetration of monolayers: V. The sodium docosyl sulfate/sodium dodecyl sulfonate system
  • Add time:08/19/2019         Source:sciencedirect.com

Equilibrium surface pressure-area isotherms of sodium docosyl sulfate (NaDS) monolayers have been measured on substrates containing various concentrations of sodium dodecyl sulfonate (SDSo). From these isotherms, saturation adsorptions of SDSo for various surface concentrations have been calculated. Plotting of these adsorptions against the inverse of the area per NaDS molecule, as required for the “accessible area” theory, reveals two linear segments corresponding to two different values for the monolayer size parameter, but with substantially the same value for the adsorption into the accessible areas.
