The solubility curves for the (carbon dioxide + 1,3-butanediol diacrylate) and (carbon dioxide + 1,3-butanediol dimethacrylate) systems at various temperatures (313.2, 333.2, 353.2, 373.2 and 393.2) K as well as pressures up to 24.9 MPa were measured by static apparatus. The solubility of 1,3-butanediol di(meth)acrylate in the (carbon dioxide + 1,3-butanediol di(meth)acrylate) systems increases as the temperature increases at a constant pressure. The (carbon dioxide + 1,3-butanediol diacrylate) and (carbon dioxide + 1,3-butanediol dimethacrylate) systems exhibit type-I phase behaviour. The experimental results for the (carbon dioxide + 1,3-butanediol diacrylate) and (carbon dioxide + 1,3-butanediol dimethacrylate) systems correlate with the Peng–Robinson equation of state using a van der Waals one-fluid mixing rule including two adjustable parameters (kij, ηij). The critical properties of 1,3-butanediol diacrylate and 1,3-butanediol dimethacrylate were predicted with the Joback–Lyderson method.
