Quaternary lead halide CsPbBr1.5I1.5 perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) with cubic shapes and emission wavelength at 566 nm were synthesized by hot injection and carefully characterized to better compensate with blue co-oligomer for white light emission. With a very simple device structure, the electroluminescent hybrid device exhibits a turn-on voltage of 4.7 V, a maximum luminance ∼1200 cd/m2, and steady CIE coordinates of (0.28, 0.33). Compared to the photoluminescence spectrum, the increased electroluminescence from PQDs in the HFSO/PQD composite film of the device strongly suggests that the emission from CsPbBr1.5I1.5 PQDs are partially due to the direct charge injection.
