In this work, the excess molar volume, the excess isobaric thermal expansivity, the excess isentropic and isothermal compressibility, and the excess isobaric and isochoric heat capacity for the (1,2-dichloroethane or 1,4-dichlorobutane + n-dodecane) systems are reported as a function of temperature at 0.1 MPa. To this end, densities and speeds of sound from 278.15 K to 328.15 K were measured using a vibrating tube densimeter and sound analyser, and isobaric heat capacities from 283.15 K to 323.15 K were determined using differential scanning calorimetry. All these measurements were combined within an appropriate methodology in order to obtain the excess quantities. Results were discussed in terms of the well-known microscopic phenomena describing these systems.
