  • Chromatographic and electrophoretic study of aryloxyalkyl ammonium compounds
  • Add time:07/14/2019         Source:sciencedirect.com

The chromatographic and electrophoretic behaviour of aryloxyalkyl ammonium compounds, such as 1-alkylpiperidinium bromides, pyridinium bromides, benzyl-dimethylammonium bromides and trimethylammonium bromides, were studied. The group constant for the aromatic, alkyl and basic parts of the molecules of the compounds studied were determined in the chromatographic system formamide-1,1′,2,2′-tetrachlorethane. In all cases there was good agreement between the calculated and the experimental RF values. The relationship between the structure of the aryloxyalkyl ammonium compounds and their chromatographic and electrophoretic properties is discussed.
