  • Add time:08/27/2019         Source:sciencedirect.com

The crystal structure of (CH3)3Al·NC7H13 has been determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data collected by film techniques. The unit cell is monoclinic with a=8.94±0.02 Å, b=10.66±0.02 Å;, c=6.84±0.02 Å;, β=106° 19′±10′, and contains two formula units of the monomeric compound. The space group is P21/m. Approximately tetrahedral coordination is found about the aluminum atom, and the aluminum-nitrogen bond length is 2.06 Å. Viewed along the aluminum-nitrogen bond, the methyl groups appear in a staggered configuration with respect to the methylene groups of the quinuclidine molecule.
