    MnCrOx/Sepiolite solid materials were successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method. The samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, BET, XPS, H2-TPR, NH3-TPD, NH3-SCR and activation energy tests. The results showed that the 3D nanoflower MnCrOx with heat treatment of 3 h and sepiolite as the carrier exhibited excellent NOx conversion rate (>95%) within the 120–300 °C. Compared with the pure MnO2/Sepiolite catalyst, MnCrOx/Sepiolite showed more acidic sites, stronger redox capacity and oxygen vacancy. The addition of Cr reduced the SO2 adsorption strength on the surface of the catalyst, thereby increasing the anti-SO2 poisoning of the catalyst and reducing the activation energy. Also sepiolite as a carrier is not only green and environmental friendly, but also cheap and economical in process cost. Therefore this type of load-induced MnCrOx/Sepiolite may be considered as an expected industrial NH3-SCR denitration catalyst.
