Two-dimensional infrared (2D-IR) spectroscopy is a powerful technique capable of accessing structure and dynamics with ultrafast time resolution in a wide range of chemical contexts. Since the early development of 2D-IR and related nonlinear IR spectroscopy methods, coordination complexes have been used primarily due to their well-defined structures and large transition intensities.
