The vaporisation behavior of caesium molybdate has been investigated in the liquid region (1230 to 1310 K) by a transpiration technique using dry oxygen as the carrier gas. Chemical and X-ray diffraction analysis of the condensate as well as the residue confirmed the vaporisation to be congruent. Assuming the species to be monomeric, the vapour pressures were calculated and can be given by the following equation: log p(kPa) = (6.37 ± 0.29) − 11452 ± 370)T(K).The data has been used to derive the related thermodynamic quantities.
