The preparation of 11 silanetriols and their physical properties are reported. These systems are ideal precursor for the preparation of three-dimensional organic soluble metal-containing silicates. Moreover, the preparation of aluminosiloxanes with different types of Al/Si/O frameworks using silanetriols as precursor is described. The products are soluble in organic solvents and are model compounds for natural occurring minerals.
