SummaryIsoperoxidases can be detected by Fast Blue BB (FBBB: 4′amino-2′,5′-dimethoxybenzanilide) in the presence of hydrogen peroxide at small quantity. It is not possible, however, to use FBBB, as proposed by other investigators to test IAA-oxidase isoenzymes, if hydrogen peroxide is present. IAA competitively inhibits FBBB oxidation controled by isoperoxidases.
