  • Fabrication and characterization of ALUMINA (cas 1333-84-2) fiber by anodic oxidation and chemical dissolution processes
  • Add time:09/07/2019         Source:sciencedirect.com

ALUMINA (cas 1333-84-2) fiber was fabricated by an anodic oxidation process from pure aluminum or a chemical dissolution process from porous alumina. In the experiments, porous alumina layer was firstly formed on the surface of pure aluminum by anodic oxidation process in phosphoric acid electrolyte. The alumina fiber was obtained by either further anodic oxidation process or a chemical dissolution process from the porous alumina layer. The thickness of the porous alumina layer, the diameter and wall thickness of the pores in the porous alumina layer, and the length and diameter of the obtained alumina fiber were examined. The formation mechanism of the alumina fiber was discussed.
