The equilibrium solubility data of CO2 were measured in the various aqueous solutions of TIPA (cas 19759-70-7), TIPA+MEA and TIPA+Pz in various concentrations and temperatures ranging from 30 to 70 °C, and CO2 partial pressures below atmospheric pressure. They show that increasing the MEA/TIPA ratio and the addition of some piperazine to the TIPA solution, increases the CO2 loading in the solutions, with MEA being more efficient than piperazine. Furthermore, it is obvious that aqueous TIPA solution has the maximum CO2 absorption capacity at 2 mol/dm3. ANN modeling was carried out to simulate some of experimental data, and proper accommodation between experimental and calculated results was observed. Some immersion corrosion tests were performed on steel-304 and ST-37 alloys and no corrosion was observed. Viscosities of the used solutions were also measured.
