The adsorptive voltammetric behaviour of BE(II) at a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) in the presence of Beryllon III was investigated in NH3-NH4Cl (pH 9.7) solution. The results show that the BE(II) complex with Beryllon III can be adsorbed on the surface of the HMDE, yielding on peak -∮.78 (vs. SCE), corresponding to the reduction of Beryllon III in the complex at the electrode. The limit of detection is as low as 5×10−10 mol 1−1. The linear range is 1×10−9−18×10−8 mol 1−1.
