During the last two decades metal injection molding (MIM) of titanium and titanium alloys developed to an established alternative technology to produce complex titanium parts with sound or even excellent properties. However, there are still concerns about supposed high costs and insufficient mechanical properties of the sintered parts. This chapter shows how these problems can be overcome and how optimized properties can be achieved. The challenges of MIM processing of titanium are pointed out, followed by an overview of available powders and feedstocks. Important processing details are shown and current research is explored.
