  • The cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) complexes of α-naphthyl red and a study of their performance as colouring materials for poly(vinyl chloride)
  • Add time:09/24/2019         Source:sciencedirect.com

Complexes of α-naphthyl red with the chlorides of cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) have been prepared. The stereochemistry for each of the complexes has been obtained from spectral and magnetic data. The initial decompositions of the metal complexes have been studied by thermogravimetry. The performance properties of the α-naphthyl red and its metal complexes as colouring materials for poly(vinyl chloride) have been investigated by studying weather resistance, light fastness, acid and alkali resistance, migration resistance, tensile strength and heat stability.
