  • Nonstructural carbohydrate and prunasin (cas 138-53-4) composition of peach seedlings fertilized with different nitrogen sources and aluminum
  • Add time:09/29/2019         Source:infona.pl

In greenhouse experiments, Nemaguard peach seedlings were irrigated with nutrient solutions containing NO 3 - :NH 4 + ratios of 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75 and 0:100, and Al concentrations of 0 or 1mM. Eight weeks of treatment with 1mM aluminum caused severe reductions in reducing sugar concentration, increased starch in the root and shoot, and increased sucrose concentration in the leaves. Total soluble carbohydrate (TSC) concentration in the roots was significantly greater in plants receiving a mixed ratio of NO 3 - :NH 4 + than plants receiving all NO 3 - or NH 4 + , but significantly increased with increasing NH 4 + in stem and leaves. Increasing NH 4 + reduced sucrose concentrations but elevated sorbitol concentrations in the roots, stem, and leaves. Aluminum increased prunasin (cas 138-53-4) concentration in the roots, whereas increasing NH 4 + resulted in higher levels of prunasin in the stems and leaves of Nemaguard seedlings. Leaf carbohydrate supply limitations and altered root concentration status may be the consequences of high Al and NH 4 + exposure.
