 1-Amino-2-naphthol-4-sulfonic acid (CAS NO.567-13-5) is white or gray crystalline needle, often containing semi-crystalline molecular water. It soluble in hot sodium bisulfite and alkali solution, and do not dissolve in cold ethanol; Ether; Benzene, water-soluble. When in the air it become pink, what's more when in wet. Alkali solution in the air quickly oxidized brown, neutral solution is slightly blue fluorescence.
