For example, it is used to produce Phenylmethyl 3-(2-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-3-oxo-2-(2'-pyridyl)propanoate. This reaction needs reagent LDA and solvent tetrahydrofuran at temperature of -78 - 0 °C. The reaction time is 1 hour. The yield is 70 %.
