Uses of 2-Fluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride: it can react with 2-methyl-benzyl alcohol to give 2-fluoro-benzenesulfonic acid 2-formyl-phenyl ester by using reagent NaOH and solvent H₂O, CH₂Cl₂.The reaction occurs at temperature 20 ℃ with 63% yield.
