Uses of Propanedioic acid, 2-(3-thienyl)-: it can be used to produce 2-thiophen-3-yl-malonic acid bis-(2,4,6-trichloro-phenyl) ester at the temperature of 90 °C. It will need reagent phosphorus oxychloride with the reaction time of 1 hour. The yield is about 90%.
