Uses

 Alizarin Fluorine Blue (CAS NO.3952-78-1) dubbed in 0.5% aqueous solution, an indicator for complexometric titration.

Production

By alizarin and the reaction of iminodiacetic acid: 16g alizarin and 22.5g iminodiacetic acid suspended in 30ml water with 60ml aqueous solution containing 13.5g of sodium hydroxide treatment. While stirring dropping 37% formaldehyde 10ml. A mixture of water diluted to 230ml. Heated to 75 °C, while stirring while dropping 37% formaldehyde, 7ml, insulation 14g. Diluted to 750ml, at 45 °C with 5N hydrochloric acid treatment to no precipitation occurs. Filter out the crystals of crude. The crude product dissolved in distilled water, add sodium hydroxide solution, dissolved, together with hydrochloric acid to make it re-precipitation sedimentation, filtration, washing available pure. Alizarin unreacted ether extraction method available to remove.
