Anise oil Specification

The Anise oil, with the CAS registry number 8007-70-3, is also known as Oils, Pimpinella anisum. Its classification codes are: (1)Mutation data; (2)Pharmaceutic aid [flavor]; (3)TSCA UVCB. This chemical should be sealed and stored in a cool and ventilated place. Moreover, it should be protected from light. Its shelf life is 18 months at normal temperature, that is 10 - 16 °C. It is used for manufacture of liqueurs, flavor for candies, cookies, dentifrices, carminative, expectorant. In our country, it is mainly produced in guangdong, guangxi, guizhou and yunnan. With magnoliaceae anise fennel fruit as raw material, the products are obtained by steam distillation at common pressure. The yield of oil from fresh fruit is about 2-3%, and from dried fruit is 8-12%.
