Uses of Diallyldimethylsilane: it can be used to produce 2-Chlor-2,6,6-trimethyl-2,6-disilanon-8-en at the temperature of 140 °C. It will need solvent propan-2-ol with the reaction time of 1 hour. This reaction will also need catalyst 0.1 M H2PtCl6·6H2O. The yield is about 51%.
