Uses of Dimethylaminoethyl acrylate: it is used to produce other chemicals. For example, it can react with furfural to get 2-(furan-2-yl-hydroxy-methyl)-acrylic acid 2-dimethylamino-ethyl ester. The reaction occurs with reagent DABCO at ambient temperature. The reaction time is 72 hours. The yield is 86 %.
