The IUPAC name of Bis(2-ethylhexyl) terephthalate is bis(2-ethylhexyl) benzene-1,4-dicarboxylate. Uses of Bis(2-ethylhexyl) terephthalate: It has low volatility and good low-temperature flexibility. Water-tolerant, oil-tolerant and electrooxidation performance are particularly prominent. So it is used as plasticizer in soft PVC and cable.
