Preparation of L-Isoleucine,N-[(1,1-dimethylethoxy)carbonyl]-, methyl ester: this chemical is prepared by reaction of Diazomethane with N-tert-Butoxycarbonyl-L-isoleucine.



This reaction needs reagent Methanol, Diethyl ether at temperature of 4 °C. The yield is 98.5 %.

Uses of L-Isoleucine,N-[(1,1-dimethylethoxy)carbonyl]-, methyl ester: it is used to produce other chemicals. For example, it is used to produce Boc-L-Ile-ol.



The reaction occurs with reagent Sodium borohydride, Acetic acid and solvent Dioxane at temperature of 80 °C. The yield is 86 %.
