Preparation and Uses of Visken: It can be obtained by the amination of 4-(1,2-epoxypropoxy) indole and isopropylamine. Visken is a nonselective beta blocker with partial beta-adrenergic receptor agonist activity. What's more, it is sometimes added to a standard antidepressant therapy, if the patient fails to respond to the standard therapy alone.
