Trifluperidol Safety Profile

Poison by ingestion, subcutaneous, and intraperitoneal routes. An experimental teratogen. Experimental reproductive effects. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of F and NOx. See also FLUORIDES and TRIFLUPERIDOL HYDROCHLORIDE.

Trifluperidol Specification

Trifluperidol (CAS NO.749-13-3) has general properties similar to those of haloperidol, but is considerably more potent by weight, and causes relatively more severe side effects, especially tardive dyskinesia and other extrapyramidal effects.
