Uses of 2,6-Dichlorostyrene: it can be used to produce 1,3-dichloro-2-(1,2-dibromo-ethyl)-benzene. This reaction is a kind of bromination. This reaction will need reagent of Br2 and solvent of CHCl3. The reaction time is 30 mins with reaction temperature of 20 °C. The yield is about 98%.

2,6-Dichlorostyrene can be used to produce 1,3-dichloro-2-(1,2-dibromo-ethyl)-benzene.
