Preparation of Acetamide,N-(2-nitrophenyl)-: This chemical can be prepared by acetic acid anhydride and 2-nitro-aniline. The reaction will need reagent Mg(ClO4)2. The reaction time is 0.5 hours with temperature of 20°C, and the yield is about 89%.

 

Uses of Acetamide,N-(2-nitrophenyl)-: It can react with 3-bromo-2-methyl-propene to produce o-nitro-N-(2-methyl-2-propenyl)acetanilide. This reaction will need reagent KOH, and the menstruum acetone. The reaction time is 3 minutes with heating, and the yield is about 92%.
