Uses of Benzene,1,2-diiodo-4,5-dimethoxy-: it can be used to produce fluorosulfuric acid 2-iodo-4,5-dimethoxy-phenyl ester at the temperature of -75°C. It will need reagents PbO₂, HSO₃F, NaSO₃F, aq. H₂SO₄ with the reaction time of 3 hours. The yield is about 52%.
