Preparation of Benzene,(chloroethenylmethylsilyl)-: This chemical can be prepared by dichloro-methyl-vinyl-silane and phenylmagnesium bromide. It is a kind of grignard reaction, and the yield is about 57%. 

Uses of Benzene,(chloroethenylmethylsilyl)-: It can react with 1-phenylselanyl-indan-2-ol to produce methyl-phenyl-(1-phenylselanyl-indan-2-yloxy)-vinyl-silane. This reaction will need reagent Et3N and DMAP, and the menstruum toluene. The reaction time is 5 minutes with temperature of 20°C, and the yield is about 89%.
