Uses of Benzene,[dichloro(1,1-dimethylethyl)silyl]-: it can be used to produce 1,2,3,4-tetra-tert-butyl-1,2,3,4-tetraphenyl-tetrasiletane at the temperature of 0°C. It will need reagent Li and solvent tetrahydrofuran with the reaction time of 0.5 hour. The yield is about 45%.
