Preparation of Potassium chromium alum dodecahydrate: Potassium dichromate is dissolved in hot water, and then filtered. The filtrate turned to dark green after addition of concentrated sulfuric acid and ethanol(ethanol is dropped until the color of filtrate do not change again). Evaporate the filtrate, and add water until the relative density becomes 1.5. And you can get the product after crystallizing and drying.
