Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by Chloro-chloromethyl-dimethyl-silane. This reaction will need solvent tetrahydrofuran. The yield is about 78%.

Uses of Silane,(chloromethyl)ethenyldimethyl-: it can be used to produce (Dimethyl-vinyl-silanylmethyl)-carbamic acid methyl ester. It will need reagent KI and solvent dimethylformamide with reaction time of 25 hours. The yield is about 36.8%.
