Production method of this chemical: The Silane, dichloromethylpropyl- could be obtained by the reactants of dichloro-methyl-silane and propene. This reaction needs the reagent of Speier catalyst. The yield is 90 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for half an hour at the ambient temperature.

Uses of this chemical: The Silane, dichloromethylpropyl- could react with tetrahydrofuran, and obtain the chloro-(4-chloro-butoxy)-methyl-propyl-silane. This reaction needs the reagent of H2PtCl6. The yield is 74 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for 4 hours. The other condition is heating.
