Poison by intraperitoneal and intravenous routes. Moderately toxic by ingestion. When Sodium hexylethyl thiobarbiturate (CAS NO.64038-10-4) is heated to decomposition ,it emits toxic fumes of SOx, NOx, and Na2O. See also BARBITURATES.
