The Methanesulfonic acid,1,1,1-trifluoro-, sodium salt (1:1), with the CAS registry number 2926-30-9, has the systematic name of sodium trifluoromethanesulfonate. It is a kind of white to off-white powder, and it is also hygroscopic. The molecular formula of this chemical is CF3HSO3Na. What's more, it is usually used as organic fluorine substituted agent, intermediate of pesticide and medicine.

Uses of Methanesulfonic acid,1,1,1-trifluoro-, sodium salt (1:1): It can react with 2-methyl-pyridine to produce N-Fluoro-2-methylpyridinium triflate. This reaction will need reagent 10 % F2-N2, and the solvent acetonitrile. The reaction time is 3 hours with temperature of -40°C, and the yield is about 60%.
