chondroitin sulfate
Chondroitin Sulfate consists of repeating chains of molecules called glycosaminoglycan (GAGs) which is extracted from animal cartilage and trachea. It is derived from the same polymer D-glucuronic acid and D-N-acetyl galactosamine. They can be sulphated at positions 4 or 6 of N-acetyl galactosamine and position 2 of the uronic acid.
