1.Characters:

Sodium thiosulfate, also known as thiosulfate, which is monoclinic white crystalline powder, specific gravity 1.667, soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, is heated in air decomposed into sodium oxide and sulfur dioxide. Burned in pure oxygen is generated sodium sulfate, sodium sulfide and sulfur.

Application:

1.Mainly used in photographic industry for fixative.

2.Dichromate tanning when a reducing agent, nitrogen exhaust neutralizer, mordant, straw and hair bleach, and dechlorination of pulp bleaching agent.

3.Also used for tetraethyl lead, dyes intermediates manufacturing and silver ore raised.

4.In addition, for the chemical industry, electroplating industry, reducing agent, water purifying agent works.

5.In the textile industry for bleaching cotton after dechlorination agent, sulfur dyeing wool fabric dye, indigo dye anti-white agents, pulp dechlorination agent, the pharmaceutical industry as detergents, disinfectants and bleaching agents.

Storage

Should be stored in a cool and dry warehouse. Dark, sealed, transport should avoid exposure, humidity, rain. Not with acid and oxidant were mixed reservoir operation. Containers must be sealed to prevent moisture melt. Such as packaging moisture, indicating the contents from the deliquescence effect has to be packaged separately stacked and drying. Can not be stored in the open air, on the wet packing to grasp handle. Sand when fire fighting water.
