  Application

(1) It is an outstanding chain extender for high performance elastomeric polyurethanes and also a curing agent for epoxides (EP). It provides improved mechanical and dynamic properties which cannot be achieved with standard formulations. It is preferably used with low TDI free polyurethane pre-polymers.It provides excellent mechanical properties with low heat build-up under regular high compression loads, superior hydrolytic resistance up to temperatures of 150°C (300°F),  low wear

and tear,  and can be processed easily with ribbon-flow technology PU formulations based on it are suitable for cast elastomers, RIM elastomers and coatings including spray coatings. In EP it is suitable for tooling, prepregs and chemical resistant coatings. Compared to the conventional MOCA curative, it provides exceptional dynamic performance, improved high temperature capability and expanded elastomer service temperature range. (2) It may be used as a precursor for polyimides and as an intermediate for organic synthesis.
