Description
Human Oligopeptide-1 (EGF 2-nano) is a small polypeptide of 53 amino acids that serves as a cytokine to stimulate epidermal cell growth and proliferation. This peptide is derived from non-human sources using recombinant DNA biotechnology. Also know as EGF or epidermal growth factor. Amarte uses a two nanometer encapsulated formulation of EGF for better stability and absorption. This ActivElement has been shown to speed the healing of wounds and reduce scarring.
EGF (recombinant human epidermal ), academic name: oligopeptide - 1.
EGF in 1962 by scientists in the United States found that Dr Cohen won Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine in 1986.
EGF is composed of 53 amino acids, peptides and including three disulfide bond.
An oligopeptide, often just called peptide (oligo-, "a few"), consists of two to twenty amino acids and can include dipeptides, tripeptides, tetrapeptides, and pentapeptides. There have been more than 600 oligopeptide variants described, and about half of them are separated into seven classes (based on molecular structure): aeruginosins, cyanopeptolins, microcystins, microviridins, microginins, anabaenopeptins and cyclamides. Microcystins are best studied, because of their potential toxicity impact in drinking water.[1] A review of some oligopeptides found that the largest class are the cyanopeptolins (40.1%), followed by microcystins (13.4%)
