Xanthan Gum, which is mainly made from starch, is a high molecular weight polysaccharide produced by fermentation with Xanthomonas Campestris under the conditions of special nutrient medium, PH, oxygen supply and temperature, then purified, dried and milled into white-like or light-yellow free-flowing powder.

Xanthan gum can be widely used in more than twenty industrial fields, such as food, pharmaceutical, fine chemical, agriculture, oil drilling and exploitation, and so on. Comparing with other kinds og gum, xanthan gum has many advantages.

Product Description:
 
VEKEN Xanthan Gum, also named XC polymer, is a kind of extracellular acidic hetero-poly saccharide fermented by Xanthomonas. It is a macromolecule microbial polymer, made from carbohydrate, like corn starch, by microbe fermentation engineering cultivation, extraction, drying and grinding. Due to its excellent heat stability, salt stability and rheological property, it is the best drilling fluid stabilizer, thereby being widely used in multiple industries, such as petroleum, geological mining and textile, etc.
 
Application:
 
l  Xanthan Gum (XC Polymer) is a low-solid, cost-effective viscosifier, being widely used in oil drilling fluid, completion fluid and work-over fluid. It increases viscosity in all water based system fluid.
l  Xanthan Gum can keep drilling fluids have viscosity constantly, from below freezing to 270°F (130°C) in static bottom hole temperature, and in a PH range from 5 to 8. It is non-toxic as well as biodegradable.
l  Xanthan Gum has excellent shear-thinning characteristic. It not only increases penetration rates in high shearing speed, but also provides excellent suspending action for optimum hole cleaning in low shearing speed while viscosity is regained.
