Descriptions

Testolactone (brand name Teslac) is a non-selective, irreversible, steroidal aromatase inhibitor used as an antineoplastic drug to treat advanced-stage breast cancer. The drug was discontinued in 2008 and is no longer available for medical use.

Testolactone is an antineoplastic that is related to test but has not been shown to have the masculine effects of test. It works by blocking the production of estrogen, which helps prevent the growth of breast cancers that are activated by estrogen. It may also prevent tumor cells from being activated by other hormones.

Teslac is neither an anabolic nor an androgenic steroid. It is actually considered a sex hormone that is a relative of test and was developed for women for medical purposes. Teslac is widely used in the steroid community as probably the most effective anti-estrogen. When combined with Pro, Teslac is almost certain to completely prevent estrogen conversion and it associated problems. Some have said it has even completely and permanently suppressed their estrogen content.

A palliative treatment

In breast cancer, testolactone is a palliative treatment. This means that it helps relieve symptoms, but does not cure the cancer. It is effective only in about 15% of the women who take it. In these women, however, it helps reduce the size of half or more tumors. Normally testolactone is used along with other chemotherapy drugs for fighting advanced breast cancer.

Dosage

Testolactone comes as a 50 mg tablet. The dose will depend on the patient's body weight and her general health, as well as other drugs she may be taking. However, a standard dose is 250 mg (5 tablets) four times a day for three months. It takes at least several weeks before the drug begins to be effective. Tablets should be stored at room temperature.
